Portland Rose Hot Air Balloons has partnered with Soaring Adventures of America to offer non-profit organizations, what is without doubt, an excellent opportunity to raise funds through silent auctions. For the next Silent Auction at your school, church, or non-profit organization, we will donate a free balloon ride ticket.
Free to Schools, Churches and Non-Profit Charities
If your school, church or favorite charity is having a silent auction fundraiser, we'll donate a free ticket for a hot air balloon flight, no purchase necessary. Not only will this create excitement and fun, it will raise a lot of money for your organization.
This silent auction Item will be the hit of the fundraiser, and we will give it to you, FREE! We are a member of a national association of 200 professional hot air balloon pilots, dedicated to, "Giving Back to the Community." Through this association we will donate a free hot air balloon ride ticket to any non-profit organization that is having a silent auction fundraiser. During the past eight years, over 10,000 schools, churches, charities and community organizations have raised millions of dollars auctioning these hot air balloon ride tickets.
This is What You Have to Do to Get Your Free Ticket (Non-Profits only)
The chairperson of the silent auction should go to FundraisingRides.org and download the free ride silent auction kit. The kit contains posters and information about the ride. At the top of the poster for the hot air balloon ride for one, please write our company name, Portland Rose Hot Air Balloons, right after the words, "Donated By."
Then, on the day of the silent auction, set up the kit and watch the bidding go wild. Everyone wants to go on a balloon ride. You will sell one ticket for sure, that always happens. You will probably get between $180 and $220 for the first one. That money is all yours, our donation to you. If you sell more than one, after the auction you will buy the additional tickets below cost at $120 each and pocket the profit. Most charities sell four or five additional tickets, and make about $100 on each ticket. After the auction, FundraisingRides.org will send you the ticket(s) you need.
Then, the winning bidder just calls us at (503) 638-1301 to schedule his or her balloon ride. The ticket is good for 12 months. They will have a great ride with us, people always do. We love to fly! Or, if they wish, they can take their ride while on vacation at any one of 200 other locations nationwide. They get a list of all the locations with their ticket.
